Four finishes, one material
"Venetian plaster" is a family, not a single look. All four below are lime and marble — same mineral chemistry, same zero-VOC formulation. What changes is the aggregate and how far the surface is compressed and burnished.
Marmorino Matte
Worked flat and left open rather than burnished closed. Soft, chalky and quiet, with tonal movement that reads at a distance instead of shine. The most forgiving of the four across large areas, and the one most people picture when they say "plaster walls."
Polished Marble
The same lime and marble dust, burnished hard through multiple passes until the surface closes and the marble in it starts to reflect. Deep veining, wet-stone depth, and a finish that changes completely as you move past it. This is the showpiece — entry halls, feature walls, powder rooms.
Sandy
A finer aggregate, deliberately left with tooth. Scatters light instead of reflecting it, with a suede hand you can feel. Suited to Mediterranean and Spanish architecture, curved walls and arches, and whole-room applications where a polished finish would overwhelm.
Stone
Heavy-bodied and aggregate-rich, reading as raw quarried stone with visible mineral sparkle. Built for presence — wine rooms, fireplaces, columns, full-room wraps and modern or brutalist interiors.
Every one is custom-tinted to your project and locked to it. We hand-apply a physical sample of the finish you're considering, on your substrate, before any work is scheduled — because these read completely differently in your light than they do in a photograph.
The systems we work with
We apply and specify Meoded Paint & Plaster, Firenze Color, Novacolor, San Marco Group, Color Atelier and Modern Masters — the major Venetian plaster and lime systems.
We work across all of them to the same standard. Each house mixes and handles a little differently — open time, burnish window, how much water a coat will take before it starts to drag — and a crew that only knows one system will fight the others. Ours don't. Whichever line ends up on the spec sheet, the wall gets the same hand.
Across those systems we install Marmorino, Grassello di Calce, Stucco Veneziano, Travertino, Intonachino and microcement, as well as Moroccan Tadelakt and interior and exterior limewash.
